Traffic Route Intelligence Reporting

Project Description
Developed an automated traffic route analytics script using Python and the Google Routes API to measure the real world impact of toll roads on journey times. The script compared routes with and without tolls across predefined traffic corridors, capturing travel duration, distance, and estimated time savings under real time traffic conditions.
The script was configured to run automatically at scheduled intervals throughout the day using cron jobs, collecting consistent traffic snapshots for long term analysis. It also generated visual route maps using the Google Static Maps API, storing route screenshots alongside structured CSV reports for validation and reporting. The automated workflow enabled reliable traffic intelligence, historical trend analysis, and data driven insights for transportation planning and operational decision making.
